Busy Days Ahead

Finally I'm facing some busy days again - Saturday was my first time working as a stagehand for the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn.
The concerts take place during the next five Weeks and as part of the crew I am workig for a minimum of 11 hours. But besides from the fact that this is real tough labor, it's a most fun time, being the only girl of the team, spending the whole day outside AND listening to the wonderful orchestral music.
Another great thing about this job is the catering, which I hope to have ON STAGE this week! Last week was quite chaotic, because of the rain. If the weather stays like this, we will have to built a canopy above the stage. This means more work and also more money. The only disadvantage that comes from working as a stagehand is that one might miss some concerts. A small loss if your making good and honest money.

Great to see that some cool shows take place during the week, just like that great Show at Club MTC, Cologne with are Japanese pals from Church Of Misery. I am still waiting to get all the pictures from last thuesday. So here is just a little teaser, taken by Mika! Thanks again girl and see you all real soon!

Back From The Sun

As the week starts I am still recovering from the Festival Weekend.
We had quite a good time, the sun was really busy all the way from Friday to Sunday and everybody was so nice! Thanks a lot especially to the Catering Crew who made the best job and kept the whole Backstage Bunch happy.
The only dark cloud that is now hanging in our skies is the really sad bathing accident, having one visitor drowning in the close by lake. He died on Saturday after being rushed to the hospital - he was just 21.
My thoughts are with his Friends and Family. And of course all First-Aid Attendants, who did their best for such a long time. My Boyfriend and I even became witnesses of this incident, as we wanted to put our feet into the cooling water sometime around noon. This shows how fragile ones life is and how much we shall value it.

Not to forget the beauty of the Festival sight, here are some pictures, actually the first to be published within my blog!!!

My personal Highlight - Jex Thoth!

Heading North-East

Finally after that first quite troublesome Semester I am finally heading for some kind of time out in the far North-East of Germany. Besides commuting between Essen, Cologne and Bonn I haven't been getting away at all this year and I really need to see something differnt!

After leaving my (!) Band in early 2011 my weekly Schedule differed much from the previous years. In many ways much to my advantage, but I really miss rehearsing, singing, writing lyrics and so on.
But what are you gonna do?! Nevertheless it has been one of the most important decisions of my life, a tough one of course, but the only right one. Well, enough about the babbling!
My bag is packed, cleaning is about to be done and later on my Dear will pick me up.

I hope to get some nice impressions of the Festival which is placed right by a lake and somewhat on a hill. That's what I call a nice surrounding to spend some time.
So let's hope for good pictures - see you!

Getting Started

The thought of writing my own Blog has crossed my mind for quite a while now.
Since I feel the increasing need of having an additional creative Output besides my Work as a Journalist, this is just the right thing to do.
So let's get started with the Blog Business – while working on my Studies and after graduating University, I have visited quite some places in the Name of Rock'n'Roll. And this is what this Blog will be about: A little Travelling Diary. Furthermore this will be a place to promote the Bands I favour and bash about new one's besides the Online Magazine I am writing for.
